\"VladimirPetrov\"<\/a>Het 4e Vladimir Petrov memorial wordt gehouden in Jurmala, Letland. Dit toernooi bestaat uit een eendaags snelschaak toernooi en een tweedaags rapid toernooi.\u00a0De enige Nederlandse deelnemer is Loek van Wely die in het snelschaak evenement de gedeelde eerste plaats behaalde. (Op weerstand werd hij 4e). Al met al een mooi resultaat. In het sterkere bezette rapid toernooi heeft\u00a0Loek het een stuk\u00a0moeilijker, na acht ronden staat hij 33 hoewel hij op de ratinglijst van het toernooi 11e is. Dit zegt wel iets over de sterkte van het toernooi. Deelnemers zijn oa Ivanchuk, Karjakin en Gelfand.<\/span><\/p>\n
